Hybridizer’s Description: LAKE EFFECT sib to the magnificent KNIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN and the superb lavender MAGIC AMETHYST, was hands down one of the most popular daylilies in the garden. This huge flower, which can be almost 8” on first flowers, is a gorgeous shade of mauve purple with a blue-gray lavender eye and dual edges of blue-gray lavender and cream white. The throat shades from chartreuse white on the outer edges to olive green in the center. Surprisingly, while it breeds eyes if crossed to an eye LAKE EFFECT the darkest of the 3 sibs tends to throw the most exquisite, beautifully formed, deeply scalloped ruffled white edged pinks!
